What is Neni?

Neni is an AI life operating system for individuals and families. Say “Hey Neni” from anywhere on your phone and it acts — reading your calendar, summarising your inbox, checking your investments, reminding you about medicines, generating a lesson for your child, or running an AI voice screening call for your hiring team. One voice that replaces 15 apps.

How is Neni different from Siri, Alexa, or Google Assistant?

Those are general-purpose voice interfaces built to control hardware and search the web. Neni connects to your real data — your Gmail, Zerodha portfolio, your child’s school curriculum, your family WhatsApp group — and gives personalised, contextual responses. Neni is built India-first: it understands BESCOM, Zerodha, Practo, NCERT curriculum, UPI bills, and Hindi commands. The others were not built for how India lives.

How is Neni different from ChatGPT?

ChatGPT answers questions. Neni takes actions in your life. ChatGPT does not know your calendar, Gmail, medication schedule, or portfolio. Neni does. ChatGPT requires typing. Neni wakes up when you say “Hey Neni.”

Is Neni an Indian app?

Yes. Built by RAGNES Technologies, Faridabad, Haryana. Designed India-first — for Indian families, financial platforms, school curricula, languages, and daily life patterns. Available globally in English.

Is Neni always listening to my conversations?

No. Wake word detection runs entirely on your device using Picovoice Porcupine — no audio is ever transmitted to any server until you speak a command after “Hey Neni.” Your conversations are not recorded.

Does Neni sell my data?

No. We do not sell your personal data to any third party for advertising, marketing, or any other commercial purpose. Ever.

Is it safe to connect my Zerodha or bank to Neni?

Yes. Neni uses read-only API access via official OAuth. We never see your password or PIN. We cannot buy, sell, or transfer anything. Revoke access at any time from your broker’s settings — identical to how Paytm Money and ET Money connect.

Is Neni GDPR and DPDPA compliant?

What can I actually do with Neni every day?

7:30am morning brief by voice — weather, calendar, urgent messages, news, bills. Commute alert before you leave. Portfolio check. Voice expense log at lunch. AI lesson for your child. Location reminder near the pharmacy. Evening brief at 9pm.

Does Neni work on iOS?

Yes. Native apps for both iOS and Android. On iOS, “Hey Neni” activates via tap (Apple restricts third-party always-on wake words). All other features are identical on both platforms.

Does Neni work in Hindi?

Yes. Commands and responses in Hindi are available on the Elite plan. English is supported on all plans. Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Marathi are coming soon.

Can Neni read my WhatsApp messages?

Partially, due to WhatsApp’s API restrictions. On Android, Neni reads notification previews in real time for on-demand summaries. On iOS, export any chat and share the file with Neni for an instant summary. NeniBot for full group access is coming soon.

How does the children’s learning agent work?

Say “Neni, make Aarav a lesson on the water cycle for Class 5” — or scan a textbook page with your camera. Neni generates a 3–5 minute animated audio-visual lesson with narration and a quiz. NCERT-aligned, Class 1 through 12.

Is Neni really free?

Yes. The Free plan has no time limit, no credit card, and no expiry. Text queries, schedule checking, bill reminders, and 2 audio lessons per month — forever. It is a real product, not a demo.

What does ₹399/month unlock?

“Hey Neni” wake word, voice responses, morning and evening brief, Gmail + Telegram + Slack monitoring, WhatsApp summariser, portfolio brief, 5 AI video lessons per month, and all 20+ specialist agents.

Do I need a credit card for the free trial?

No. Start the 7-day trial with no payment details. If you don’t subscribe, your account moves to Free automatically.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from Account Settings with two taps. No fees, no questions. Access continues until the end of the billing period.

Is Neni safe for my child?

Yes. Children’s profiles run in Safe Mode (all content filtered), have access only to Learning, Weather, and Reminders, carry no advertising, and allow no in-app purchases. Parents see all activity.

What age is the learning agent for?

Class 1 through Class 12 (approximately age 6–18). Lessons adapt to the grade level set in the child’s profile, with NCERT curriculum alignment for Indian students.

Can my elderly parent use Neni?

Yes. The Family plan includes Grandparent mode — a simplified voice interface for weather, medication reminders, and family calls. No typing, no complicated menus, just voice.

How does AI resume screening work?

Connect your Gmail and upload a job description. Neni reads incoming resumes as they arrive, scores each one 0–100, and presents a ranked shortlist. AI then calls shortlisted candidates for voice screening and auto-schedules interviews via Google Calendar.

Is AI candidate screening legal?

Yes, in India and most markets — provided candidates are informed of automated processing, final decisions are made by humans, and screening criteria are role-relevant. Neni provides disclosure templates. Business users are responsible for local employment law compliance.

Can Neni integrate with our existing HRMS?

The standard Business plan integrates with Gmail, Google Calendar, Naukri, and WhatsApp/SMS via Twilio. Custom HRMS integrations (Darwinbox, Keka, Zoho People) are available on Enterprise contracts. Contact admin@heyneni.com.
